Our client, a leading organization in commercial property management, is seeking a dedicated Building Maintenance Technician to join their team. As a Building Maintenance Technician, you will be an essential part of the Facilities Support team, ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of commercial buildings and industrial systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a proactive attitude, which will enable you to thrive in this dynamic environment.

Job Title: Building Maintenance Technician

Location: Santa Monica, CA

Pay Range: $30-$34/hour

Shift: Days 

What's the Job?

  • Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems, including packaging and handling machinery, plumbing, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, grounds equipment, and HVAC systems.
  • Clean, lubricate, and service a variety of pumps, valves, pneumatic controls, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic devices.
  • Support the installation and modification of building equipment and systems to improve operational efficiency.
  • Replace and repair building finishes such as ceiling tiles, door hardware, wallpaper, and perform painting, piping, flooring, and equipment repairs.
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations and customer service requests, ensuring safety and operational continuity.

What's Needed?

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of related experience in a commercial property setting.
  • Technical, vocational, or on-the-job training in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, or related fields.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record; commercial license may be required.
  • Basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel, and Word.
