Electric Motor Mechanic

Our client, a leading industrial repair facility specializing in motor repair services, is seeking a dedicated Electric Motor Mechanic to join their team. As an Electric Motor Mechanic, you will be an integral part of the repair and maintenance department supporting the company's mission to deliver high-quality electro-mechanical repair solutions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills, a proactive attitude, and a commitment to safety and quality, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Electric Motor Mechanic

Location: Gillette, WY

Pay Range: $24-$40

Shift: 5am to 3pm

What's the Job?

• Perform repairs on AC and DC electro-mechanical equipment, ensuring adherence to customer standards and work instructions.
• Operate specialized repair and testing equipment to diagnose and repair motor components.
• Carry out dynamic balancing of rotor and armature assemblies, replacing or repairing mechanical parts such as brushes, gears, and seals.
• Operate overhead cranes and medium voltage test panels safely and efficiently.
• Accurately document work performed, record time, and complete all necessary paperwork promptly.

What's Needed?

• At least two years of experience repairing electro-mechanical equipment.
• Ability to operate dial indicators, calipers, micrometers, and surge/megger testers.
• Physical ability to stand or walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate motor vehicles as needed.
• Knowledge of electrical theory and motor components, with a mechanical aptitude and hand-eye coordination.
