Our client, a leading organization in the facilities management industry, is seeking a Facilities Maintenance professional to join their team. As a Facilities Maintenance associate, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting operational excellence and safety. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Facilities Maintenance

Location: Torrance, CA

Pay Range: $30 - $34/hr. 

Shift: Mon – Fri (8:00 am to 5:00 pm), weekends as needed

What's the Job?

  • Oversee maintenance and repairs of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and other building systems across two locations.
  • Ensure the safety, cleanliness, and overall upkeep of facilities to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Coordinate with vendors, management, and staff to schedule and complete maintenance tasks.
  • Inspect facilities regularly to identify issues and plan necessary repairs or preventive measures.
  • Assist in project planning, budgeting, and reviewing contracts related to maintenance activities.

What's Needed?

  • High School Diploma; vocational training or certifications are a plus.
  • Minimum of five years of maintenance experience with knowledge of building systems such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze issues, plan maintenance schedules, and work effectively with vendors and team members.
