Maintenance Technician - Manteno, IL

Our client, a leading food manufacturing organization, is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join their team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be an essential part of the Maintenance Department supporting the production operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.

Location: Manteno, IL

Pay Range: $24.50 To $34.75 per/hr

Shift: 1st & 3rd

What's the Job?

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on production machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on a variety of manufacturing equipment, including conveyors, mixers, ovens, and packaging machines.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and production line stoppages, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
• Maintain an organized inventory of spare parts and supplies, coordinating with the storeroom clerk and planner to ensure critical components are available.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve equipment reliability and overall performance.

What's Needed?

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience performing preventative maintenance on industrial equipment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, food-safe environment.
• Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
