Maintenance Technician

Our client, Manufacturing & Facilities Operations is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be part of the Maintenance team supporting production and facility operations.

Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Location: TRAVERSE CITY, MI

Pay Range: $22.00-$28.00 per hour, + $3/hr shift premium for 2nd and 3rd shift

Shift:
1st: 6:00am - 2:00 pm Monday-Friday
2nd: 2:00pm - 10:00pm Monday-Friday
3rd: 10:00pm - 6:00am Sunday-Thursday

What's the Job?

• Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and plant facility equipment.
• Handle emergency/unscheduled repairs during production and complete scheduled maintenance repairs during machine service.
• Use mechanical skills to troubleshoot and repair production machines, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test equipment, and make necessary adjustments.
• Complete preventive maintenance and support additional maintenance tasks such as plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions, while keeping work areas clean and orderly.

What's Needed?

• Ability to perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities as part of maintenance work.
• Strong troubleshooting capability across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Comfort using hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment to complete maintenance tasks.
• Ability to detect faulty operations or defective material and promptly report unusual situations to proper supervision.
• Commitment to safety regulations and safe work practices in an active industrial environment.
