Custodian

Our client, a leading organization in the manufacturing and warehousing industry, is seeking a Custodian to join their team. As a Custodian, you will be part of the Facilities Support team supporting the overall cleanliness and safety of the facility. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Custodian

Location: Jacksonville, FL

Pay Range: $17

Shift: 7am-3:30pm

What's the Job?

• Perform general housekeeping duties including sweeping, mopping, and trash disposal in warehouse and office areas.
• Operate trash compactors and balers, ensuring proper banding of completed bales.
• Report safety hazards or hazardous conditions to supervisors or management promptly.
• Assist with special housekeeping projects as needed to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Utilize tools such as utility knives and push bins safely and effectively during daily tasks.

What's Needed?

• Ability to perform custodial work with knowledge of cleaning procedures.
• Effective time management skills to complete assigned tasks efficiently.
• Physical ability to lift, carry, and move products up to 75 lbs frequently.
• Comfortable walking, standing, and working on concrete floors for extended periods.
• Willingness to work in temperature-controlled environments and occasionally in cold or dusty conditions.
