Process Lab Tech

Our client, a leading food and beverage manufacturing organization, is seeking a Process Lab Tech to join their team. As a Process Lab Tech, you will be part of the Quality department supporting production operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong communication skills, critical thinking, and the ability to work independently, helping ensure process samples are tested accurately, and results are documented appropriately. 

Job Title: Process Lab Tech

Location: Frankfort, MI

Pay Range: $16.50 - $18.50 per hour based on shift

Shift: 7:00am-7:00pm OR 7:00pm-7:00am . Shifts are scheduled as 2 days on, 2 days off with rotating weekends

What's the Job?

• Gather process samples and perform defined testing on samples accurately and promptly.
• Enter test results into the computer system and ensure data is recorded correctly.
• Record and review data, interpret results, and support quality decision-making.
• Complete required training within one month of hire, including chemical training, Lock out Tag out process, and computer data entry process.
• Work flexible workdays and hours based on company or process demands, including rotating weekends and holidays.

What's Needed?

• Ability to become qualified within one month of hire in chemical training, Lock out Tag out process, computer data entry process, and process testing (including Brix and acid).
• Experience or readiness to perform micro testing, raw fruit testing, and syrup/juice concentrate (barrel off) testing.
• High-level verbal and written communication skills to document and communicate results clearly.
• Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Physical ability to use ladders and work on elevated platforms; ability to lift up to 40 pounds; ability to see and differentiate all primary colors.
