Our client, Seniors is seeking a Cook to join their team. As a Cook, you will be part of the Food Service team supporting meal service for residents and special/catered events. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a commitment to food safety, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment—skills that will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Northbrook, IL

Pay Range: $20.58

Shift: 10:30am-7:00pm

What's the Job?

• Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for multiple meal periods, including Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Special/Catered Events.
• Follow established recipes, portioning standards, and presentation expectations to support consistent meal quality.
• Support smooth service by preparing food in time for scheduled meal periods and maintaining an organized workflow.
• Maintain cleanliness and safe food handling practices throughout food preparation and service.
• Assist with meal service needs as directed to ensure residents and guests receive timely, high-quality meals.

What's Needed?

• Ability to prepare and cook a variety of hot and/or cold food items with accuracy and consistency.
• Strong attention to detail when portioning, timing, and presenting food for meal service.
• Commitment to food safety and safe handling practices in a kitchen environment.
• Willingness to work scheduled hours and support meal periods including special/catered events.
• Professional, dependable approach to teamwork and daily kitchen responsibilities.
