Assembly Associate

Our client, Manufacturing is seeking a Assembly Associate to join their team. As a Assembly Associate, you will be part of the Collision Avoidance Cameras team supporting production operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, a detail-oriented mindset, and the drive to learn and take ownership of assigned work, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Assembly Associate

Location: Jamaica, NY

Pay Range: $17/hr

Shift: 1st Shift 6:00 AM-2:30 PM

What's the Job?

• Route and tie wires to form harnesses used in electrical and electronic equipment or systems
• Read work orders, diagrams, and wire lists to determine materials needed and the sequence of assembly
• Wrap and tie wires together at designated points to form harnesses, following standard work processes
• Test wiring continuity using a continuity tester and operate assigned machinery as required
• Log jobs, record labor hours, and enter product completion data into company software applications (Epicor, UKG) while producing quality products and meeting established goals

What's Needed?

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree a plus
• 1–3 years of experience in a production or assembly environment
• Process- and safety-driven approach with strong attention to detail and ownership of assigned work
• Ability to work independently and within a team, while following verbal instructions and standard work
• Ability to speak, read, and write English to communicate effectively; prior experience with ERP/CRM systems is a plus
