Our client, an industry leader in manufacturing, is seeking a Brake Press Operator to join their team. As a Brake Press Operator, you will be part of the Industrial department supporting production operations. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, strong safety awareness, and teamwork skills which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Brake Press Operator
Location: Centralia, IL
Pay Range:
Shift: 3rd shift (10pm - 6:30am)
What's the Job?
- Set up, adjust, and operate manually or computer-guided press brake machines efficiently.
- Position production materials along with tooling, ensuring proper dimensions according to specifications.
- Operate various equipment, including controllers, and program machines based on production documentation.
- Inspect work to ensure it meets quality standards and dimensional requirements.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, supporting continuous improvement activities.
What's Needed?
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. or equivalent ability in reading, writing, and math.
- Knowledge of press operations, machine operation, and forklift operation.
- Ability to read and use measuring equipment such as tape measures and calipers.
- Ability to lift, slide, and turn heavy gauges of material up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to adhere to safety policies and promote a safe work environment.
