Entry Level Assembler  

Manpower is currently hiring Assembler 1 - Production Associates for Carefusion in Sumter, SC. We are looking for reliable individuals interested in a full-time, entry-level manufacturing opportunity in a medical device production environment. Previous manufacturing or assembly experience is preferred, but not required.

  • Full-time, entry-level manufacturing opportunity 

  • Day Shift: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM | $15.90/hr 

  • Night Shift: 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM | $17.00/hr 

  • Rotating schedule: 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off 

  • Day shift schedule includes weekends 

  • Opportunity to gain experience in medical device manufacturing 

  • Manufacturing experience preferred, but not required 

  • No drug screening required for this assignment 

  • Opportunity to work in different production tasks and responsibilities 

Job Requirements? 

  • High School Diploma or GED required 

  • Ability to read, write, interpret, and understand work specifications written in English 

  • Ability to perform basic math calculations 

  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time 

  • Ability to lift or move up to 50 lbs 

  • Must successfully complete the required eye examination, which requires 20/30 vision with or without corrective lenses and/or successful completion of a color vision exam 

  • Steel toe shoes required for Day Shift 

  • Previous manufacturing or assembly experience is preferred, but not required

  • Ability to use basic measurement tools, including microscopes 

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment 

  • Previous manufacturing, production, machine operation, or assembly experience is a plus, but entry-level candidates are welcome to apply 

What will you be doing? 

  • Performing production and assembly tasks involved in the manufacture of medical devices 

  • Fabricating, assembling, testing, inspecting, and packaging products 

  • Conducting quality inspections according to established specifications 

  • Assisting with basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting 

  • Working collaboratively with coworkers and Team Leads/Supervisors
