General Laborer

Our client in Ankeny is seeking day shift and night shift General Laborers to join their team. As a General Laborer, you will be part of the production team supporting day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will have production experience, a strong work ethic, the ability to follow safety and quality expectations, and the stamina to stay focused during a full shift.

Job Title: General Laborer

Location: Ankeny, IA

Pay Range: $18.00 per hour for day shift and $19.00 per hour for night shift

Shift: 7:00am-7:00pm for day shift and 7:00pm-7:00am for night shift on a 2, 2, 3 schedule 

What's the Job?

• Unload small plastic parts off the machine and keep the workflow moving.
• Label small bags, place them into bulk packaging, and pack them into boxes.
• When a box is full, place it onto a pallet and maintain an organized staging area.
• Lift up to 40 lbs every two hours when placing boxes on the pallet.
• Stand for the full shift and stay consistent with production pace and accuracy.

What's Needed?

• Ability to stand for the full 12 hour shift and perform repetitive packing and palletizing tasks.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs every two hours.
• Comfortable working a 2, 2, 3 schedule
• Reliable attendance and willingness to follow posted shift schedules 
• Must not use tobacco products (including cigarettes, chew, or vaping) due to medical product production requirements.
