Manpower is hiring for a variety of roles at a leading manufacturing facility in the Grand Rapids area. These hands-on positions support production, machine operation, material handling, and shipping activities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What You'll Do
- Operate production machinery and equipment safely and efficiently
- Assemble, machine, inspect, and package products according to specifications
- Monitor product quality and identify defects throughout the manufacturing process
- Perform machine adjustments and support basic preventive maintenance activities
- Move raw materials and finished products throughout the facility
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment as needed
- Load and unload trucks while verifying product information and shipping requirements
- Stage materials and inventory to support production schedules
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines
- Support additional warehouse and production activities as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing, production, warehouse, machine operation, or material handling experience preferred
- Forklift experience is a plus
- Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math calculations
- Basic computer skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to follow work instructions and production specifications
- Strong communication skills and team-oriented attitude
- Dependable with the ability to work independently when needed
- Experience with building products, woodworking, millwork, doors, cabinets, or similar manufacturing environments is a plus
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift
- Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds
- Ability to bend, twist, stoop, reach, and climb throughout the workday
- Comfortable working around machinery, forklifts, noise, dust, and other manufacturing conditions
