Part Inspector

Our client is seeking a Part Inspector to join their team. As a Part Inspector, you will be part of Specialty Valve supporting production quality efforts. The ideal candidate will have a high degree of accuracy, strong dependability, and the ability to communicate clearly with supervision and other shifts—skills that will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Part Inspector

Location: Altavista, VA

Pay Range: $14.00/hr

Shift: 1st Shift (7am-3pm)

What's the Job?

• Efficiently operate several inspection machines to achieve required quality production.
• Load parts into the machine, continuously monitor the process, and ensure good work is being produced.
• Remove and report defective work from the process, determining acceptability/non-acceptability of product.
• Make minor adjustments to machines and run different parts simultaneously without mixing.
• Maintain a clean work area and keep accurate records, including correctly labeling product.

What's Needed?

• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail to verify process and product quality.
• Highly dependable, able to work consistently and self-start in a production environment.
• Strong communication skills with supervision and other shifts to support smooth operations.
• Ability to use scales to weigh/count product and use gauges/measuring instruments to verify process.
• Ability to lift and move boxes—able to repeatedly lift 35 lbs. and maneuver heavier weight with assistance.
