Sanitation Worker

Our client, a leading organization in the food production industry, is seeking a Sanitation / Custodian Technician to join their team.  As a Sanitation / Custodian Technician, you will be part of the sanitation department supporting the manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Sanitation / Custodian Technician

Location: Poughkeepsie, NY

Pay Range: $20.65/hr

Shift: Night shift, 9:00 PM - 5:00 AM, Monday through Friday
 

What's the Job?

• Perform cleaning and sanitizing of production and packaging equipment daily to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Support the sanitation team by removing trash, debris, and spills from various areas within the facility.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as power scrubbers, foamers, and forklifts safely and effectively.
• Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, offices, break rooms, and other common areas when required.
• Follow established sanitation schedules and document all activities accurately, including corrective actions when necessary.

What's Needed?

• 1-2 yrs of experience required; preferably in a hospital, nursing home or school setting
• Ability to follow safety policies and procedures diligently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean environment.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks and operate equipment safely.
