Production Technician - 1st Shift

We're seeking motivated and dependable Production Technicians to support our Panelboard and Switchboard Satellite Operations team. In this hands-on manufacturing role, you will assemble, wire, inspect, and test electrical control equipment while maintaining high standards for quality, safety, and productivity.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with assembly, construction, automotive repair, carpentry, or technical school experience who enjoy working with tools and building products that power critical infrastructure.

What You'll Do

As a Production Technician, you will:

• Assemble panelboards and switchboards according to customer specifications, electrical drawings, manufacturing schematics, and work instructions.
• Use hand and power tools to build, fit, mount, and wire electrical assemblies and components.
• Inspect and test finished products to ensure quality standards and code compliance.
• Perform electrical wiring using tools such as wire strippers, pliers, and other assembly equipment.
• Monitor production progress and communicate any part shortages or production concerns.
• Receive, organize, and store incoming materials.
• Prepare completed products for shipping.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and workplace safety.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area using 5S principles.
• Cross-train in other functions and assist where needed to support business demands.
• Follow all safety procedures and perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

• Minimum of 1 year of assembly-related experience using hand and/or power tools.
  • Experience in manufacturing, construction, carpentry, mechanical assembly, or automotive repair is highly valued.
• OR completion of a one-year Technical School diploma from an accredited institution.
• Must currently reside within 50 miles of the work location.
• Ability to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Preferred

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience with:
  • Electrical wiring diagrams and schematics.
  • CNC bus fabrication or press brake operations.
  • Measuring tools, torque specifications, and hardware assembly.
  • Manual and electric tools, drill presses, forklifts, cranes, and related manufacturing equipment.

Physical & Work Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs regularly.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow detailed manufacturing drawings and instructions.
• Commitment to workplace safety and teamwork.
