Our client, in Clare, MI is seeking a CNC Machinist to join their team. As a CNC Machinist, you will be part of the Manufacturing team supporting production operations. The ideal candidate will have strong blueprint reading skills, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to troubleshoot and adjust machining processes to keep work moving and quality on track.

Job Title: CNC Machinist

Location: Clare, MI

Pay Range: $23

Shift:
2nd Shift - 4 pm to 12 am
3rd shift - 10 pm to 6 am
*overtime is scheduled prior to shift start time and can be heavy, including Saturdays

What's the Job?

  • Operate CNC machining equipment across multi-axis or multiple CNC machines in a manufacturing environment.
  • Contribute to production by performing CNC machine set-ups and completing assigned jobs independently from start to finish.
  • Run multiple and varying CNC machines simultaneously, including lathes and mills, and operate manual machine tools to cut, drill, shape, and finish quality parts.
  • Utilize Inventor CAM software to create 2.5–5-axis mill and mill-turn toolpath strategies.
  • Complete shop work orders, inspection documentation, and daily maintenance sheets; monitor machine performance and make adjustments without supervision.

What's Needed?

  • High school diploma or GED (required).
  • 3+ years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment (required).
  • Expert ability to read blueprints and use a tape measure.
  • Familiarity with Inventor CAM.
  • Physical readiness to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, walk and stand for several hours, and maintain visual alertness around forklift traffic at corners and doorways.
