CNC & Manual Machinist

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization specializing in precision components, is seeking a dedicated CNC & Manual Machinist to join their dynamic team. As a CNC & Manual Machinist, you will be an integral part of the manufacturing department supporting production and quality assurance teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: CNC & Manual Machinist

Location: Sandston, VA

Pay Range: $28.00

What's the Job?

• Set up and operate manual lathes, milling machines, drill presses, and boring mills to produce high-quality components.
• Configure and operate CNC lathes and CNC mills, including multi-axis equipment, ensuring precision and efficiency.
• Select appropriate tooling, establish machine offsets, and adjust speeds and feeds for optimal machining processes.
• Edit and troubleshoot CNC programs using G-code, M-code, Fanuc, Haas, Mazatrol, or similar controls to meet specifications.
• Read and interpret complex blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications to ensure accurate manufacturing.

What's Needed?

• At least 5 years of machining experience in a precision manufacturing or job-shop environment.
• Hands-on experience with both CNC and manual machining operations.
• Proficiency in setting up and operating CNC lathes and milling machines.
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge.
• Ability to independently plan machine setups and troubleshoot machining issues effectively.
