Our client, agricultural manufacturing and seed processing is seeking a Corn Sorter to join their team. As a Corn Sorter, you will be part of the Production team supporting quality-focused operations. The ideal candidate will have reliable attendance, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work safely at a fast pace, which will align successfully in the organization.

Pay Range: 17.00
Shift: Must be open to all shifts
What's the Job?
- Safely sort corn by removing discard (waste, etc.) and returning cobs needing re-husking appropriately
- Move only undamaged seed forward in the drying process to help improve quality and reduce foreign material entering dryers
- Identify off-type ears and quality issues such as wet or immature ears, moldy ears, insect damage, husk ribbon, rogue ears, crop debris, and junk
- Sort discard/waste and re-husk as corn passes on a conveyor belt, distributing materials to the proper locations for next actions
- Maintain a clean work area by sweeping and removing debris as workload allows, and report accidents, near misses, or safety concerns promptly
What's Needed?
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and traverse stairs as needed
- Good eye sight and the ability to clearly communicate in English
- Reliable transportation and strong attendance
- Comfort working at a quick pace with hands-on sorting work in front of a moving conveyor belt
- Ability to follow safety procedures, including lock out/tag out and E-Stop/equipment safety processes
