Our client, an industry leader in manufacturing, is seeking a dedicated Machine Operator to join their team. As a Machine Operator, you will be an essential part of the industrial department supporting production operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, machine operator experience, working with fabric in a fiberglass setting, and a strong work ethic, which will align successfully within the organization.
Job Title: Machine Operator
Location: ALTAVISTA, VA
Pay Range: $16.59 an hour
Shift: 4p.m. to Midnight
What's the Job?
- Operate and monitor weaving machinery in a fiberglass setting
- Lift looms less than 15 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, standing, and walking
- Align fabric tubes on the platform and tie off at the machine
- Start and stop machines, ensuring continuous production flow
- Maintain safety and cleanliness standards in the work environment
What's Needed?
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in machine operation
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Proof of education (GED or diploma)
- Willingness to train on first shift before transitioning to other shifts
