Our client, a leader in the metal fabrication industry, is seeking a Machine Operator 2 to join their team. As a Machine Operator 2, you will be part of the Press Brake department supporting manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Machine Operator 2

Location: Warwick, RI

Pay Range: $19 + $2.00 Shift Differential

Shift: Monday- Friday 2:00PM-10:00PM

What's the Job?

  • Set up and operate metal fabrication machines such as press brakes, saws, shears, and punch/drill presses in accordance with quality and quantity standards.
  • Review shop operations packets and engineering drawings to ensure incoming materials are correct.
  • Adjust machines and tooling to meet production specifications and improve workflow efficiency.
  • Inspect and check production output to ensure it meets required standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance on departmental tools and equipment, including sharpening, oiling, and fluid replacement.

What's Needed?

  • Ability to read and write to follow written instructions and complete paperwork accurately.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a sheet metal fabrication environment.
  • Familiarity with metric blueprint dimensioning preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 75 lbs and perform physical motions such as standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
