Material Handler

Our client, [Industry Descriptor] is seeking a Material Handler to join their team. As a Material Handler, you will be part of the Warehouse Operations team supporting daily shipping, receiving, and inventory accuracy. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, the ability to work with attention to detail, and the drive to keep work moving with accuracy and timeliness—skills that will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Material Handler

Location: Charleston, SC

Pay Range: 1st $22; 2nd $23

Shift: 6am - 2:30pm or 2:30am-11pm

What's the Job?

• Receive, store, and distribute material, tools, equipment, and products within the warehouse to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Move items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or other designated locations as directed.
• Assist shipping and receiving by unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders, and distributing to sales associates for processing.
• Review work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine what needs to be moved, gathered, distributed, or shipped.
• Maintain a safe, organized warehouse and work area, including marking materials with identifying information, recording quantities in the appropriate computer program, and wearing proper safety equipment.

What's Needed?

• Forklift Operation experience and comfort operating a forklift in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to use an RF scanner and support inventory, distribution, and order accuracy.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in warehouse, material handling, or distribution work.
• Experience assisting with physical inventory counts, including weighing and counting items for distribution within the plant.
• Willingness to support facilities maintenance duties as needed and complete additional tasks assigned by management.
