Powder Coat Tech

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization specializing in surface finishing and coating solutions, is seeking a Powder Coat Tech to join their team. As a Powder Coat Tech, you will be part of the production department supporting the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, adaptability, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Powder Coat Tech

Location: North Charleston, SC

Pay Range: $22.00

Shift: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday

What's the Job?

• Set up and spray powder on steel parts according to specified colors and MIL thickness standards.
• Communicate effectively with production leads to ensure smooth workflow.
• Test parts for color consistency, cure, thickness, and other quality parameters.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety and environmental policies.
• Work collaboratively with Quality, Environmental, and Safety teams to ensure compliance with all standards.

What's Needed?

• Ability to read and interpret 2D prints and work instructions accurately.
• Minimum of 1 year experience working in a powder coating environment utilizing manual spray applications.
• Proficiency with MIL thickness measurement instruments.
• Ability to operate oven controls and set parameters as per work instructions.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and strong time management abilities.
