Product Engineer

Our client is seeking a Product Engineer to join their team in Cookeville, TN. As a Product Engineer, you will perform established technical tasks at the sub-system and/or component level for current and future products within a business unit. This role is product-focused and often serves as a central point of coordination—helping align product line engineers, customer teams, systems engineers, purchasing, suppliers, and manufacturing to support high-quality product decisions.

Pay Range: $24.00 - $30.00

Shift: 8:00am to 5:00pm

What's the Job?

• Support and/or execute technical processes using specialized tools to enable high-quality decision-making across multiple steps of the product life cycle.
• Gather input from stakeholders (technical managers, project leaders, product and manufacturing engineers, and supplier partners) and deliver recommendations that lead to strong product decisions.
• Ensure model and drawing quality by creating and maintaining product specifications using Geometric Dimension and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Use Computer Aided Design (CAD) data management tools for configuration control and to maintain security.
• Help define and optimize component-based analytical and experimental verification plans by partnering with test plan stakeholders; make verification/validation decisions that impact product performance, reliability, and durability.

What's Needed?

• CAD experience (a key focus for success in this role).
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an appropriate STEM field (or equivalent).
• Ability to apply academic knowledge and relevant experience to make decisions and take actions that progress projects without compromising quality expectations.
• Experience contributing to problem resolution for basic to moderately complex components, products, systems, subsystems, or services, including investigating issues, understanding causal mechanisms, and documenting results (with guidance as needed).
• Willingness to support light travel to other Atmus sites or vendor sites, as required.
