Production Shift Supervisor

Our client, a leading North American manufacturer of home and personal care products, is seeking a Production Shift Supervisor to join their team. As a Production Shift Supervisor, you will be part of the Production team supporting daily manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership presence, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to drive quality and performance on the production floor—aligning successfully in a fast-paced, cGMP-focused environment.

Job Title: Production Shift Supervisor

Location: Commack, NY

Pay Range: $24/hr

Shifts Available: 

• Fri - Sun, 6am - 6pm
• Fri - Sun, 6pm - 6am

What's the Job?

• Prepare and lead production line start-ups, assigning tasks and resources to support productivity and efficiency goals.
• Routinely tour the facility during assigned shifts to monitor operations, ensure compliance, and support personnel.
• Achieve production schedules by engaging employees and maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and productivity.
• Assist the Plant Manager with coaching and motivating team members to improve safety, quality, cost control, and customer satisfaction.
• In emergencies or unusual operations, take immediate action to direct or perform corrective measures while coordinating affected personnel.

What's Needed?

• 2–4 years of experience in manufacturing or production, including at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory capacity required
• Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Basic understanding of production processes and quality inspection methods.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining attention to detail and product quality.
• Flexibility to work varying schedules, including overtime or weekends, based on production needs.
