Job Title: Semiconductor Manufacturing Technician

Job Description
We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Semiconductor Manufacturing Technicians to join our growing team in Hillsboro, OR. In this role, you will support critical wafer fabrication operations by handling photomask pods, monitoring production equipment, performing preventative maintenance activities, and ensuring continuous production flow in a fast-paced cleanroom manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate will have a college degree, prior manufacturing or technical experience, a strong safety mindset, and the ability to thrive in a highly regulated production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily Preventative Maintenance (PM) activities, including cleaning tool tops, load ports, and surrounding work areas.
- Monitor and verify tool operation status throughout the shift.
- Confirm and prioritize Work in Progress (WIP) requirements.
- Set up, process, and monitor WIP on multiple production toolsets.
- Identify, report, and escalate equipment issues or failures to the appropriate teams.
- Execute Level 1 tool operations according to established procedures and specifications.
- Introduce product material to toolsets and properly store lots and pods.
- Package and ship production materials.
- Work with chemicals such as Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) and Acetone as required.
- Monitor inventory levels and order consumables as needed.
- Procure materials and supplies from designated vendor locations.
- Track WIP status through dispatch systems.
- Collaborate with engineers and production teams to support equipment availability and process improvements.
- Support training initiatives and assist in mentoring teammates when needed.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in a cleanroom environment up to 90% of the shift while wearing full cleanroom attire (bunny suit), including hood, gown, boots, gloves, and safety glasses.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, 3-4 days per week.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and walk up to 3-5 miles per shift.
- Frequently lift, carry, and position items weighing up to 5 pounds between knee and shoulder height.
- Ability to lift and transport materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to push carts requiring up to 50 pounds of force for distances up to 500 meters.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks and movements.
- Occasionally bend, twist, kneel, climb stairs, and sit as required.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree or Associate degree in Engineering, Science, Technology, Manufacturing, Electronics, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing, semiconductor, cleanroom, technical operations, production, or a related environment.
- Experience using Microsoft Windows-based systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, and internet applications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Basic computer proficiency and data entry skills.
- Proactive safety-first mindset.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred
- Semiconductor or cleanroom manufacturing experience.
- Experience supporting production equipment or preventative maintenance activities.
- Experience working with inventory management or production tracking systems.
