Our client, a leading organization in the logistics and supply chain industry, is seeking a Stock Worker and Receiver to join their team. As a Stock Worker and Receiver, you will be part of the warehouse operations supporting the logistics team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Stock Worker and Receiver
Location: Long Island City, NY
Pay Range: $22.22
Shift: Shift 1: Monday 6:30am - 2:30pm; Shift 2: Monday 8am - 4pm
What's the Job?
- Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepare items for shipment.
- Receive, lift, move, store, issue, count, sort, weigh, and verify items on requisitions or invoices.
- Process a wide variety of incoming freight, including stationery supplies, chemicals, electronic equipment, and other materials daily across perimeter buildings and according to priority.
- Compare incoming and outgoing shipments to bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records to verify information.
- Record temperature of incoming items using iCertainty and communicate with vendors, carriers, and internal departments to coordinate delivery schedules and confirm receipt of goods.
What's Needed?
- Ability to walk or stand for extended periods, including shifts exceeding 8 hours.
- Capability to work in cold temperature units such as refrigeration and freezers.
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally move 75 pounds.
- Must follow DOH and FDA requirements.
- Must provide own uniform: cargo/khaki style pants, polo style shirt, and non-slip kitchen shoes (no sneakers).
