Production Technician

Location: Athens, Georgia
Pay Rate: $19.52 per hour plus eligibility for a variable incentive program
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

About the Role

Our client, a leading industrial manufacturing company, is seeking a Production Technician to support daily manufacturing operations. This position offers the opportunity to work in a team-oriented environment focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and produce remanufactured and original equipment components according to production schedules and quality standards.
  • Support operations in assembly, paint line, and packaging areas as needed.
  • Follow established manufacturing procedures, work instructions, and quality systems.
  • Maintain accurate production records for assigned tasks.
  • Comply with all safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S, Kanban, standardized work, and other lean manufacturing activities.
  • Communicate quality, safety, or production concerns to supervisors and team members.
  • Collaborate with production teams to support efficient manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years of manufacturing, production, assembly, or industrial experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds frequently.
  • Ability to stand, bend, squat, twist, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety, quality, and teamwork.
