Specimen Technician

Pay Rate: $16.20 – $18.00/hour
Employment Type: Temp to Hire
Schedule: Varies M-F, 1:30pm-9pm w/ rotating Sat, 9am-3pm plus overtime/holidays as needed

What You'll Do

• Perform specimen processing tasks including presort, centrifugation, aliquoting, and imaging
• Accurately enter high volumes of data (up to 6,000 keystrokes/hour)
• Transport and deliver specimens within the laboratory
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in a biohazard environment
• Follow strict safety, compliance, and quality standards
• Adapt to a fast-paced, production-focused environment with changing priorities
• Communicate effectively with team members and leadership

What We're Looking For

• A current, up-to-date resume
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Strong data entry skills with speed and accuracy
• Basic computer knowledge; lab systems experience is a plus
• Ability to work in a production and biohazard environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Flexibility to work scheduled hours: Monday–Friday 1:30 PM–9:00 PM with rotating Saturdays (9:00 AM–3:00 PM), plus overtime/holidays as needed
• Previous lab, medical, or production experience preferred but not required
• Familiarity with medical terminology is a plus
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to meet compliance requirements
