As a Dock Worker / Furniture Assembler, I’m excited to bring my reliability, attention to detail, and hands-on craftsmanship to a role that keeps furniture moving safely from the dock to the showroom and onto customer deliveries and High Point Market events. I’ll be part of a team that values safe work practices, accurate assembly, and professional presentation—so every piece arrives ready to impress.

Job Title: Dock Worker

Location: High Point, NC

Pay Range: $16/hr

Shift: 1st shift

What's the Job?

  • Load and unload furniture, accessories, and merchandise from trailers and delivery vehicles.
  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments for damage, shortages, and accuracy.
  • Stage and organize products for showroom displays, warehousing, and transportation.
  • Assemble furniture, fixtures, and display items according to manufacturer specifications using hand tools and power tools safely.
  • Assist with showroom setup, installation, reconfigurations, and breakdown during High Point Market and special events, including wrapping, packing, and securing items for transport and storage.

What's Needed?

  • Ability to read assembly instructions and use basic measuring tools.
  • Experience using hand tools and power tools safely.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 pounds regularly.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime, evenings, and weekends during market events, with reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
