Fence Installation Helper

Pay: 18.00/ hour

Manpower is seeking a motivated and dependable Fence Installation Helper to assist with the installation of residential, commercial, and industrial fencing. This is a physically demanding outdoor position that involves digging post holes, mixing and transporting concrete, carrying materials, and assisting the installation crew with building and repairing various types of fences. Ideal candidates enjoy working outdoors, have a strong work ethic, and are comfortable performing manual labor in varying weather conditions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist fence installers with the installation of chain-link, wood, vinyl, aluminum, and other fencing materials.
  • Dig post holes using hand tools, power augers, or other equipment.
  • Mix, pour, and transport concrete for fence posts and related projects.
  • Load, unload, and move fencing materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites.
  • Measure, mark, and prepare installation areas according to project specifications.
  • Set fence posts and assist with aligning and securing fencing components.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and other equipment safely and effectively.
  • Clean and organize work areas before, during, and after projects.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or lead installer.

Qualifications:

  • Previous construction, landscaping, fencing, or general labor experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to perform strenuous physical labor, including lifting, carrying, bending, kneeling, and digging.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds frequently throughout the workday.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Reliable transportation and dependable attendance required.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and follow directions.
  • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of heavy materials.
  • Extensive standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and digging.
  • Ability to work on uneven terrain and in outdoor environments for extended periods.
  • Ability to safely perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift.
