Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking a Forklift Operator to join their team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be part of the warehouse support team, ensuring efficient and safe handling of materials. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and teamwork, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Forklift Operator
Location: Itasca, IL
Pay Range: $22.11
Shift: 1st shift
What's the Job?
- Comply with established safety practices, policies, and procedures, including PPE usage
- Read factory work orders and shipping/receiving documents to understand customer requirements
- Monitor conveyor lines, remove units, and load units into trailers or storage areas
- Check load tags and unit counts for accuracy and inspect finished units for damage
- Maintain organized paperwork, generate bills of lading, and deliver units to production areas as needed
What's Needed?
- Proven success in safety, attendance, and quality of work
- Certified ability to operate a forklift safely
- Ability to accurately use and read measuring devices
- Knowledge of general computer operation
- Willingness to learn, follow instructions, ask questions, and work effectively as part of a team
