Our client, a logistics and fulfillment operation is seeking a Forklift Operator to join their team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be part of the warehouse and shipping team supporting daily order fulfillment and safe material handling. 

Job Title: Forklift Operator

Location: Carol Stream, IL

Pay Range: $21

Shift: 6am-2:30pm (Mon-Fri)

What's the Job?

• Operate a sit-down forklift to move materials and support shipping and receiving activities.
• Work in a labor-intensive role that includes lifting, standing, bending, twisting, and stooping for 8 hours per day.
• Lift 30 lbs repetitively, 50 lbs occasionally, and 100 lbs with assistance to support warehouse operations.
• Use hand tools including strappers, banders, and shrink wrap equipment to prepare shipments.
• Read and interpret work orders to ensure customer requirements are met, including receiving and tracking shipments, loading/unloading delivery trucks, preparing orders, labeling and stockpiling shipments, completing reports, performing routine quality checks, and following safety regulations.

• Ability to operate a sit-down forklift safely and consistently.
• Good physical stamina and manual dexterity to perform warehouse tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work in a team and collaborate effectively with others.
• Good organizational and time-management skills to meet order and shipping requirements.
• Great interpersonal and communication skills, with a solution-oriented approach to problem solving.
