Our client, manufacturing operations, is seeking a Machine Assistant to join their team. As a Machine Assistant, you will be part of the production department supporting high-speed line work and material handling activities. The ideal candidate will bring a strong safety mindset, a dependable work ethic, and the ability to follow detailed instructions—skills that will help you succeed on the floor and keep production moving.

Job Title: Machine Assistant

Location: Appleton, WI

Pay Range: $18 plus $2 shift differential 

Shift: 10 hours shifts ( 8pm-6am)

What's the Job?

  • Support machine and line operations by assisting with setup, changeovers, and routine production support tasks.
  • Handle and move materials to and from the production line, including work related to sheeting, shrink tunnel, and coater/press assist areas.
  • Monitor production flow and help maintain consistent output by following work instructions and communicating issues promptly.
  • Assist with tasks related to printing press operations, rewinder support, and maintaining smooth handoffs between shifts.
  • Perform basic quality checks and ensure materials are handled correctly to support safe, accurate production.

What's Needed?

  • Ability to work scheduled shifts and remain consistent with attendance and punctuality expectations.
  • Comfort working in a production environment where attention to detail and following procedures are essential.
  • Willingness to learn multiple processes across different areas (for example, shrink tunnel, coater/press assist, printing press, rewinder).
  • Strong safety habits, including using required PPE and following site safety rules.
  • Clear communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with line leads and other production staff.
