Material Handler

Our client, a leading manufacturer of home and personal care products, is seeking a Material Handler to join their team. As a Material Handler, you will be part of the warehouse and shipping operations, supporting production flow and helping ensure finished goods are prepared, secured, and ready for shipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to follow SOPs and cGMP requirements consistently—skills that will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Material Handler

Location: Commack, NY

Pay Range: $17.00

Shifts Available: 

• Monday - Thursday, 6pm - 6am 
• Friday - Sunday, 6am - 6pm 
• Friday - Sunday, 6pm - 6am 

What's the Job?

• Load finished goods onto pallets according to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.
• Build and prepare pallets for shipment, ensuring product integrity, labeling accuracy, and proper load configuration.
• Secure pallets using approved wrapping materials to maintain stability and prevent damage during storage or transport.
• Inspect materials for damage, contamination, or inconsistencies, and promptly report findings to the Shift Supervisor.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and company housekeeping standards.

What's Needed?

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior working knowledge in a manufacturing, packaging, or pharmaceutical industry preferred.
• Ability to respond to verbal and written instructions.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, loud production environment and handling continuous movement.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and operate a hand pallet jack and other material-handling tools as needed.
