As a Material Handler, I’m excited to bring my focus on safety, accuracy, and organization to a warehouse environment where production depends on reliable inventory flow. I’ll be responsible for receiving, storing, and maintaining accurate records of component parts—counting, verifying, and organizing materials so production can run smoothly every day.

Job Title: Material Handler

Location: Cranston, RI

Pay Range: $20.35

Shift: 2nd Shift 4pm-12:30am

What's the Job?

  • Pull orders from inventory, deliver production materials and supplies where needed, and move finished materials to the warehouse.
  • Load, unload, and move materials as required while keeping materials storage areas operating in an orderly manner.
  • Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and monitoring materials in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system; request materials as needed.
  • Pick, verify, locate, pick, and pack materials and/or products for production needs; verify part numbers and quantities.
  • Document material handling activities in the ERP system, complete cycle count verification methods, and transact finished goods materials to the warehouse.

What's Needed?

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • One (1) year of experience in a warehouse/manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to attain forklift certification.
  • Competence operating computer systems and completing basic data entry in job-related systems; ability to use computer scanning devices.
  • Basic arithmetic skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and strong attention to detail; organizational skills and the ability to follow verbal and/or written instructions.

What's the Job?

  • Tomar pedidos del inventario, entregar materiales y suministros a producción cuando se necesiten y mover materiales terminados al almacén.
  • Cargar, descargar y mover materiales según se requiera, manteniendo las áreas de almacenamiento en orden.
  • Mantener el inventario identificando y etiquetando materiales y suministros; monitorear el sistema de Planeación de Recursos Empresariales (ERP) y solicitar materiales cuando sea necesario.
  • Seleccionar, verificar, localizar, empacar y preparar materiales y/o productos para las necesidades de producción; verificar números de parte y cantidades.
  • Registrar en el ERP las actividades de manejo de materiales, participar en el programa de conteo cíclico y realizar la transacción de materiales de producto terminado hacia el almacén.

What's Needed?

  • Preferible: diploma de preparatoria o equivalente.
  • Un (1) año de experiencia en almacén/entorno de manufactura.
  • Capacidad para obtener la certificación de montacargas.
  • Competencia para operar sistemas de cómputo y realizar captura de datos básica en sistemas relacionados con el puesto; capacidad para usar dispositivos de escaneo.
  • Habilidades básicas de aritmética (suma, resta, multiplicación y división) y atención al detalle; habilidades de organización y capacidad para seguir instrucciones verbales y/o escritas.
