Our client, a logistics and records management organization is seeking a Record Center Specialist to join their team. As a Record Center Specialist, you will be part of the operations team supporting day-to-day record processing and order fulfillment. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, comfort with hands-on physical work, and the ability to follow procedures accurately—which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Material Handler
Location: Monroe Township, NJ
Pay Range: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
Shift: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
What's the Job?
- Process orders and move boxes containing files, books, binders, backup tapes, and other materials.
- Lift, carry, and arrange storage boxes, bins, and totes while standing, stooping, crawling, kneeling, and twisting.
- Load and safely operate hand trucks and pallet jacks while walking on uneven and concrete surfaces.
- Use a proprietary computer system to track orders and determine the location of boxes; scan items using a handheld scanner.
- Load, shrink wrap, and stage pallets at ground level or on carts, then load boxes onto pallets and pallets onto trucks.
What's Needed?
- Ability to lift and carry boxes ranging from 10–100 lbs on a regular basis without assistance.
- Comfort working on your feet for extended periods and performing frequent kneeling, squatting, bending, and reaching.
- Ability to read and write English to understand labels, instructions, and order details.
- Experience or confidence operating material handling equipment such as hand carts and pallet jacks.
- Ability to climb and balance on ladders and safely work around changes in walking surface and elevation.
