Production Technician

Our client, an agricultural production organization, is seeking a Production Technician to join their team. As a Production Technician, you will be part of the Production department supporting Tipton production operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong safety mindset, the ability to follow directions and standard operating procedures, and the drive to stay flexible in a fast-paced seasonal environment.

Job Title: Production Technician

Location: Tipton, IN

Pay Range: $19.50/hour

Shift: Rotational shifts (1st, 2nd, and 3rd) with weekend and overtime as needed

What's the Job?

• Operate and monitor equipment and facilities while ensuring quality and conformance with standard operating procedures.
• Rotate through various production roles, including in some cases a control room rotation, based on seasonal needs.
• Support seed handling and packaging activities such as label, tag, bag, palletize, retag, re-bag, and staging seed for shipment.
• Maintain safety standards at all times and initiate/follow emergency procedures when necessary.
• Complete housekeeping responsibilities and participate in daily team meetings.

What's Needed?

• Ability to speak and read English, and communicate clearly with your team.
• Safety-conscious mindset with the ability to follow directions and work with attention to detail.
• Physical ability to walk, climb stairs, stand and sit for long periods, work in elevated areas, and perform repetitive movement and repetitive lifting up to 60 lbs.
• Ability to work outdoors and in all weather conditions (mud, rain, heat, dust, cold), with exposure to environmental conditions such as pollen, insects, and bee stings.
• Ability to distinguish seed varieties based on size or color, and think critically to problem-solve on the go.
