Our client, logistics and warehouse operations is seeking a Receiving clerk to join their team. As a Receiving clerk, you will be part of the warehouse operations team supporting daily dock and inventory activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, a detail-oriented mindset, and the ability to communicate clearly, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Receiving clerk-Forklift operator (slipsheet)

Location: Jacksonville, FL

Pay Range: 19$

Shift: 8 hour shift within 7am-6pm M-F

What's the Job?

  • Verify inbound, in-process, and outbound shipments against quality standards, customer specifications, packing lists, and invoices.
  • Identify damage, defects, inconsistencies, and documentation discrepancies, then report issues to the appropriate department.
  • Complete accurate receiving within the required one-hour timeframe and ensure freight is documented, processed, and kept together in its designated area for identification and access.
  • Scan cargo after staging, conduct live validation of consolidated and cross-dock shipments, and document loading stages with photos while ensuring required documentation is completed.
  • Safely operate and care for material-handling equipment (including forklifts such as double-reach and slip-sheet equipment) to support receiving, identification, staging, loading, unloading, and dispatching.

What's Needed?

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one year of documentation, customer service, or relevant warehouse experience; ocean-transportation experience is preferred.
  • OSHA forklift license/certification required.
  • Experience with cargo staging and ocean-container loading and unloading at dock level, including knowledge of import/export processes, labeling, and documentation.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and warehouse-management systems such as Magaya; strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
