Utility Sanitation Attendant

Our client is seeking a Utility Sanitation Attendant to join their team. As a Utility Sanitation Attendant, you will be part of the DC Utility team supporting facility operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, a dependable work ethic, and the ability to follow detailed instructions to keep the facility running smoothly.

Job Title: Utility Sanitation Attendant

Location: Chambersburg, PA

Pay Range: $24.50/hour

Shift: Monday-Friday 3pm-11pm

What's the Job?

• Support interior trash pickup across all departments and help maintain a clean, efficient distribution center environment.
• Back up recycling efforts, including executing the shrink wrap process, performing slip sheet pickup, and supporting recyclable pickup from break rooms.
• Collect HAZMAT items as requested, package and prepare them for waste hauler pickup, and notify the maintenance supervisor when shipment levels are reached.
• Manage used oil and oil filter disposal and provide battery maintenance support (changing, inspecting, watering, washing, and equalizing batteries).
• Provide part cage support (cycle counting critical spare parts, opening work orders, issuing/receiving parts, and reconciling consumables) and complete housekeeping/clean-up tasks, including spill response and safety equipment checks.

What's Needed?

• Ability to operate a scissor lift and boom lift a MUST
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and work well independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrated experience with equipment safety procedures and the ability to drive powered equipment.
• Ability to understand written and oral instructions in English and follow instructions quickly and accurately.
• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
