Our client, Transportation & Logistics is seeking a Warehouse Associate to join their team. As a Warehouse Associate, you will be part of the Operations team supporting day-to-day shipping and receiving activities. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, reliable safety awareness, and the ability to communicate clearly with drivers and team members, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Warehouse Associate
Location: Richmond, VA
Pay Range: $17.00
Shift: Monday-Friday 7:00-3:30PM
What's the Job?
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders, and distributing orders to sales associates for processing
- Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, and requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed, and/or shipped
- Ensure the warehouse is accessible and safe for employee and customer traffic
- Complete work in a safe manner by adhering to all safety policies and procedures
- Assemble products and participate in inventory counts as needed
What's Needed?
- Basic written and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends, due to varying freight volumes
- Dock or warehouse experience in the transportation industry (preferred)
- Ability to lift, push, or pull at least 75 pounds and load/unload trucks
