Our client in Brooklyn, OH seeking warehouse associates to join their team. As a Warehouse Associate, you will be part of the Warehouse Operations team supporting daily shipping and receiving activities. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, reliable safety awareness, and the ability to follow instructions accurately, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Warehouse Associate
Location: Brooklyn, OH
Pay Range: $19
Shift:
Mid Shift - Monday-Thursday, 12:00pm-6:00pm or Thursday-Sunday, 12:00pm-6:00pm
Day Shift - Monday-Thursday, 6am - 12pm or Thursday - Sunday, 6am - 12pm
What's the Job?
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders, and distributing orders to sales associates for processing
- Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, and requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed, and/or shipped
- Ensure the warehouse is accessible and safe for employee and customer traffic
- Complete work in a safe manner by adhering to all safety policies and procedures
- Take check calls from drivers, validate load data prior to marking loads delivered for accounting purposes, and monitor daily pick-ups and deliveries to confirm loads arrive on time and in good condition
What's Needed?
- Basic written and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to lift and carry 50-75 pounds
- Dock or warehouse experience in the transportation industry, including loading and unloading trailers
- Experience using handheld scanners and the ability to apply critical thinking to carry out instructions provided in written, verbal, or diagram form
