Forklift Driver I

Our client, Heavy Industrial Operations is seeking a Forklift Driver  to join their team. As a Forklift Driver , you will be part of the Warehouse & Materials Handling team supporting day-to-day production and logistics needs. The ideal candidate will have previous forklift skills and the ability to follow procedures consistently—skills that will help you succeed in a fast-paced environment.

Job Title: Forklift Driver 

Location: Altavista, VA

Pay Range: $16.00

Shift: 8 Hours Per Shift 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. 

What's the Job?

• Operate gasoline, diesel, electric, or propane-powered industrial trucks equipped with lifting devices such as forklifts, elevating platforms, or buckets to move and load materials.
• Move products and materials efficiently while maintaining safe operation and proper handling practices.
• Follow workplace procedures for loading, transporting, and positioning items to support production and shipping needs.
• Perform routine checks and operate equipment in accordance with training and safety requirements.
• Maintain focus and reliability during scheduled hours, including working within the assigned start and end times.

What's Needed?

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year previous experience operating industrial trucks or related equipment.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Comfort working in a heavy industrial environment with a strong commitment to safety.
