Forklift Operator

Our client, Warehouse & Logistics is seeking a Forklift Operator to join their team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be part of the Warehouse Operations department supporting Shipping and Receiving. The ideal candidate will have strong accountability, a quality-first mindset, and the ability to work efficiently to meet KPIs, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Solon, OH

Pay Range: $20.00

Shift: 11:00AM - 7:30PM

What's the Job?

• Assemble and fill orders to be shipped to customers or other divisions with a focus on accuracy.
• Load and unload common carrier and company vehicles while following safe warehouse practices.
• Assemble customer orders for shipment via UPS/LTL and process required shipment paperwork (verify merchandise, apply correct postage tape, complete BOL information for LTL shipments, follow customer shipping instructions, and insure shipments when necessary).
• Gather assembled orders in carts, verify quantities and descriptions against invoices, and accurately count/write total quantities of merchandise being shipped.
• Pack each order into a container and arrange containers on shelves according to truck route; verify quantities and items against the invoice and substitute for other warehouse personnel when needed.

What's Needed?

• Experience operating forklifts and powered industrial trucks (sit-down, standup, reach truck, and/or order picker) and pallet jack experience.
• Warehouse experience of at least 6 months to 1 year, with picking experience focused on quality and accuracy (at least 6 months).
• Ability to work efficiently to meet KPIs with strong accountability and reliable attendance.
• Proficiency using RF scanners is preferred, along with strong communication skills and openness to feedback and coaching.
• Work boots required: steel-toed boots.
