General Labor

Our client, manufacturing and food production is seeking a General Labor to join their team. As a General Labor, you will be part of the production floor supporting day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to follow instructions consistently, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: General Labor

Location: Fort Madison, IA

Pay Range: $17.00/hr

Shift:

Monday - Friday - 5:30am to 1:48pm

What's the Job?

• Perform basic overhaul tasks in tapping tops of cans, restacking pallets by hand, and checking codes while maintaining production flow.
• Support operations by rotating between line positions, prepping materials, and assisting with ingredient handling.
• Open and dump bags of ingredients, fill nesting trays and carton magazines, and assemble cases as needed.
• Manually place product onto the line, pack finished cartons into cases, and push full cases to the case sealer.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area by performing housekeeping and cleanup while following all safety regulations, GMP, and quality standards.

What's Needed?

• Ability to work the scheduled/assigned times and required overtime for the position.
• Regular attendance to help meet production requirements.
• Ability to follow instruction and learn to use equipment and tools used in daily operations.
• Good communication skills and excellent attention to detail to support quality and code accuracy.
• Ability to move up to 50 lbs and lift up to 10 lbs repetitively as required by the role.
