Heavy Assembler

Our client, Manufacturing is seeking a Heavy Assembler to join their team. As a Heavy Assembler, you will be part of the Production team supporting day-to-day assembly operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to follow clear work instructions which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Heavy Assembler

Location: Corona, CA

Pay Range: $19/HR

Shift: 2nd Shift - MONDAY - FRIDAY, 1:30PM - 10PM

What's the Job?

• Follow operating practices for applicable machinery to support proper assembly, set up, and shut down.
• Read and follow simple work instructions to manually assemble parts.
• Load and unload material, parts, or products onto or from pallets and racks, and deliver metal parts or stock to designated work areas for machining.
• Remove metal chips and shavings from machine surfaces and wipe surfaces to remove excess oil; keep the work area clean.
• Separate metal chips, shavings, and scrap materials from trash and place them in scrap bins for resale; remove burrs or excess metal from machine parts.

What's Needed?

• Ability to perform mechanical assembly work of low complexity and limited scope under close supervision.
• Ability to follow simple one- or two-step instructions and handle standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
• Basic language skills to read limited two- and three-syllable words, recognize similarities and differences between words and series of numbers, and print/speak simple sentences.
• Basic math skills including adding and subtracting two-digit numbers and multiplying/dividing with 10s and 100s, including using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
• Physical ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly, up to 25 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally; close vision; ability to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms; frequent walking; occasional talking and/or hearing.
