Our client, a leading company in the metal fabrication industry, is seeking a Machine Operator to join their team. As a Machine Operator, you will be part of the manufacturing department supporting production operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, mechanical aptitude, and a strong work ethic, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Machine Operator
Location: ELKHART, IN
Pay Range: $21.00 per hour
Shift:
- Training: 1st Shift, Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
- Regular Schedule: 2nd Shift, Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
- During furnace operations, employees may work 12-hour shifts:
- Days: 5:30 AM - 5:30 PM
- Afternoons/Nights: 5:30 PM - 5:30 AM
What's the Job?
- Set up and operate slitting, welding, packaging, and related production equipment
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed
- Package finished products according to customer specifications
- Operate forklifts, electric hand trucks, and other material handling equipment
- Load and unload materials and transport products throughout the facility
What's Needed?
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Manufacturing or machine operation experience is helpful but not required
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to read and use measuring tools, including tape measures, micrometers, and calipers
- Basic math and problem-solving skills
