We're hiring a Manufacturing Supervisor to join our team at Bloom Energy in Millville, NJ where you’ll play a crucial role in our manufacturing process leading and overseeing a workforce of about 45 performing targeted manufacturing work ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency. This is a fully on-site role, operating in a warehouse environment. 

Location: Millville, NJ

Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.; overtime should be expected
Pay: $50.00/hour

Role and Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee team members, and other resources in achieving the production schedule while improving Safety, Quality, and Efficiency 

  • Supervise and motivate a manufacturing team to create a culture of personal responsibility, accountability, and continuous improvement 

  • Initiate and facilitate problem solving in order to meet the current and future needs of the company 

  • Achieve quality and productivity metrics  

  • Coordinate with Third Party Logistics workforce to move product off-site.  

  • Lead Performance Management Process and provide recommendations for compensation changes 

  • Manage any disciplinary actions required 

  • Prepare and maintain production reports  

  • Manage dashboards for information visualization and decision making 

  • Utilize data to pin-point root cause of defects and production challenges  

  • Create and maintain Training Program, Safety Program. 

  • Enforce all safety policies to promote a safe and inclusive work group 

  • Develop and implement 5S and housekeeping programs 

  • Performs other related duties as assigned 

Skills and Experience:   

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred 
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing/operations environment 
  • Experience working with production systems. 
  • Proficient with interviewing, training, developing, and handling disciplinary matters  
  • Computer systems knowledge including proficiency with MS Office programs 
  • Resourceful problem solver with proven ability to bring quick resolution to 1st level floor issues with regards to equipment, process, or manpower 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and tact needed to interact with all levels in the plant 
  • Organized with good planning and time management skills 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Ability to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours per shift 

  • Occasionally lift/carry up to 25–50 lbs 

  • Use hands and fingers to operate machinery controls and computers throughout the shift 

  • Visual acuity sufficient for product inspection and reading digital/printed materials 

  • Hearing ability to detect alarms and communicate effectively with staff 

  • Ability to perform essential tasks with or without reasonable accommodation
