Press Operator

Our client, manufacturing team is seeking a Press Operator to join their team. As a Press Operator, you will be part of the production floor supporting quality-focused manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, the ability to follow detailed work instructions, and a drive to produce parts that meet customer specifications—every shift.

Job Title: Press Operator

Location: South Bend, IN

Pay Range: $20-$25/hour (Based on Experience)

Shift: 1st Shift | Monday-Friday | 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

What's the Job?

• Operate press equipment safely and efficiently to meet production goals.
• Set up and run production jobs according to work instructions and specifications.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections to confirm parts meet requirements.
• Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensions.
• Interpret and respond to SPC (Statistical Process Control) data and control charts, and report quality, production, or equipment issues.

What's Needed?

• Previous press operator experience is required.
• Experience operating Bystronic equipment is highly preferred.
• Ability to use calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools.
• Understanding of quality inspection processes and production documentation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, including standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks.
