Production Technician

Our client, Production Agriculture & Seed Operations is seeking a Production Technician to join their team. As a Production Technician, you will be part of the Seed Production Plant supporting Production, Harvest, Conditioning, Warehousing, and Shipping teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to health and safety, reliable attendance, and the ability to collaborate and communicate clearly to keep seed quality on track.

Location: Rushville, IN

Pay Range:$19.50

Shift: Seasonal day shift with flexibility for other shifts (1st, 2nd, and 3rd)

What's the Job?

• Support seed production plant operations across receiving, harvesting, drying, conditioning, packaging, warehousing, and shipping based on seasonal needs.
• Assist with harvest and receiving activities such as truck unloading and weighing, husk and sort operations, and dryer operation to dry crop safely and to required quality standards.
• Help maintain a steady supply of seed to the Conditioning department and support shelling and storage of crop from bins in the dryer facility.
• Perform seasonal packaging and inventory tasks including labeling, tagging, bagging, palletizing, entering inventory information into computer systems, and staging seed for shipment.
• Follow quality and safety requirements while completing general maintenance and warehouse support as directed by your supervisor.

What's Needed?

• Reliable transportation and strong attendance to arrive as instructed and support production schedules.
• Ability to work long hours and rotational shifts, including overtime during seasonal peaks.
• Comfort with technology and basic computer aptitude, including data entry and use of Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) as well as learning company-specific systems.
• Ability to safely operate equipment and follow procedures using PLC computer automation software when assigned.
• Physical readiness to perform job duties with or without reasonable accommodation, including lifting up to 50 lbs., working indoors and outdoors in varied conditions, and standing/walking on uneven surfaces.
